The "No Gear? No Problem" Cheat Sheet



Don't have a rack of shiny dumbbells? Don't sweat it. Your house is basically a gym in disguise if you look hard enough. Here is how to sub your equipment like a pro:



Dumbbells → Water Bottles or Cans Need something light for toning? Grab two 500ml water bottles. Need more weight? Use the giant 2L bottles or a couple of heavy soup cans. Just... maybe don't open them immediately after your set.



Kettlebell → The "Laundry Liquid" Lift Those big 5L jugs of laundry detergent have built-in handles. They are basically the original kettlebell. Perfect for swings and goblet squats—and your clothes will smell great later.



Weighted Vest → The "School Days" Backpack Grab an old backpack and stuff it with books, bags of rice, or even those heavy cans. Wear it on your back for squats or on your chest for some added spice to your lunges.



Bench → The Sofa or a Sturdy Chair Tricep dips, step-ups, or Bulgarian split squats (everyone's favorite to hate) work perfectly using the edge of your sofa or a solid dining chair. Just make sure it’s not on wheels!



Glute Sliders → The "Cleaning Service" If you’re training on a hard floor, grab two small towels or even some thick socks. On carpet? Use two plastic tupperware lids. You’ll get a core workout and a polished floor at the same time.



Resistance Bands → A Pair of Old Leggings In a pinch, a pair of old, stretchy leggings can provide enough tension for some light arm work or mobility stretches.


You don’t need a fancy gym, matching dumbbells, or the latest fitness gadget to get results you need consistency, a smart plan, and a bit of creativity.


If it’s heavy, awkward, or slightly inconvenient to lift it’ll probably work 😏
